So you want to adjust gain. Gain is basically the response in boost. Higher the gain, the faster the response, lower the gain slower the response. I.e. the boost controller keeps the wastegate shut longer as the gain is higher. There is a balance here. Too high of gain in a lower gear and you will overboost too quickly. Basically, when I start off with a fresh boost controller, I keep the gain around 2 (low) and adjust set in 3rd gear to get the boost level I want. Once i have set adjusted, I go into first or second gear and adjust the gain by an increase of 1 at a time. I keep increasing the gain until I overboost slightly and then back off gain by 1.
